A quote often begins with the work still waiting to be done. After a failed compute attempt, that can be an incomplete beginning. Some money has already been spent, and some useful work may already exist. Queue Cub separates these facts before turning them into another estimate.

The distinction prevents two opposite mistakes. Ignoring the failed attempt makes the job look cheaper than it has been. Sending every unit through the estimate again can make the remaining work look larger than it is. Recording both elapsed cost and completed units lets the planner keep the bill without pretending that useful output disappeared.

This matters most when an estimate becomes a conversation with someone else. A total is easier to explain when it includes the path to the current position. The receipt can show what is sunk, what remains, and what assumptions were used for the next run. A person quoting the job can then discuss uncertainty instead of hiding it inside a single confident figure.

The desk estimates each task using its own remaining units and the selected device’s rate. Memory compatibility is checked before a finish time is offered. Logged attempts retain their cost while completed units reduce remaining work. Plans run sequentially, and the comparison can be exported.
